Welcome to XJBikes.com!
XJBikes.com is the main site for all XJ Maxim and XJ Seca motorcycles.
I have created this site to centralize the XJ motorcycle knowledge and sources in one place in order to help all XJ owners. Your knowledge and participation on this site is encouraged and very appreciated. XJBikes.com is dedicated to XJ motorcycles but you may find much of the technical information may apply to other models as well. So, if you have non-XJ motorcycle feel free to join our community and use our site.
Why Register?
In order to post on XJBikes.com you will need to become a registered user. The registration process takes less than 1 minute and it's very straightforward. Registration is needed to protect the site content and our users from spammers. By registering you control how private you want to be. Registration also allows us to provide you with 'clean' related content and a site that you will find valuable as an XJ owner.
Once you register on XJBikes.com you will receive an email with a link to activate your account. Click on the activation link and now you are a member of XJBikes.com.
Thanks for joining our Yamaha XJ Maxim and XJ Seca motorcycle global community.

Posted by SnoSheriff on Thursday, October 16, 2008 (20:22:00) (864 reads)
XJBikes is now running on a new server. I expect the website to behave the same as before the server migration.
Thank you for your patience.

XJBikes - moving to a new server
Posted by SnoSheriff on Thursday, October 16, 2008 (20:16:41) (642 reads)
I will be moving XJBikes to a new server. During this time the site will be down (unusable) until everything is completed. This is the first move to another server so hopefully everything will be quick and painless. The process may get started this weekend. I will post an update in the forums once the migration is complete.

Thank you.

Why are you getting - Password change request emails?
Posted by SnoSheriff on Thursday, December 28, 2006 (18:55:49) (529 reads)
I received reports that some of you may have received an email that reads:
| Quote:: |
The user account 'your username' at XJBikes.com has this email associated with it. A Web user from 68.94.* has just requested a Confirmation Code to change the password.
Your Confirmation Code is: ABC
With this code you can now assign a new password at www.xjbikes.com/Your_A..._lost.html
If you didn't ask for this, don't worry. Just delete this email. |
This type of message is sent out only if someone manually requests a password change. This can be done on someone’s behalf but the email confirmation will still go to your email account. By the looks of this, it seems that our recent Troll is up to no good again. Fortunately the system is safe to prevent this type of hacking. So, if you have not requested a password change then simply delete the email.
I also posted this info HERE IN THE FORUM
If you received this type of unsolicited email, please PM me with the email text and I will take further actions…

Site merger
Posted by SnoSheriff on Monday, January 02, 2006 (20:16:22) (2822 reads)
I have an announcement that I’d like to share with all of you. Some of you may know that there is a site called XJowners.com. Ed graciously agreed to pass the XJowners site into my hands. I will be merging the 2 sites into XJBikes.com. This is great news for all of us XJ riders. As a result we will have one site so we don’t have to be scattered in multiple locations :).
