Is there anyone from Saskatoon that is like me and can't wait for the snow to melt so we can get riding?

I've been waiting for it to stop snowing for months, I left Long Beach with Ft. Smith Ar. in Oct, I had a tire shred out in the desert and beat the forks to death (Never went flat) and by the time I got the bike fixed it was snowing from Flagstaff to Tucumcari. Now its 5 mos. later and still snowing part of the way! errrrrrr.

Fortunately Vegas is an OK place to get snowed into.

| Fellow 550 rider here. I'm about 2 1/2 hours west of you on highway 16. I get into S'toon on occasion and I do have a fair bit of knowledge on the 550. I usually don't get excited about riding until May. You may want to move this topic to "Western US and Canada". I just can't bring myself to think of SK as anything but West. |
I just checked out your thread on your many great trips to "The Worlds Largest ..." Looks like great fun. How do you find your 550 on the highway? This winter I have spent a lot of time cleaning and redoing my 550 Maxim. I can't wait to ride again. I am thinking of riding to Castlegar, B.C. this summer.

I've never lacked for power and speed. The bike would run at 120-130 kms all day long but I just don't like to go that fast. The faster I go the more the wind beats me up. Speed limit works for me.
I don't know how to move a thread. |
Great to know. I was worried about running it at 5000rpms for any long length of time.
I just got new tires and have mufflers ordered. I can wait to ride again!!
