There is an O-ring on the gear drive for the tach (part that goes into the head)
There is another on the cable where it twists onto the gear drive, it looks like a garden hose type rubber washer (but smaller)

Yes, the rubber in the "nut". But if that is the culprit, I would think that the oil would drip out right there. If the rubber washer is good, it should seal at hand tight. If it is not good, replace it. Don't do what i did. I grabbed the ole channel locks and gave it an extra little twist. Now it still drips occasionally and there is nothing that I can do about it because I squished the "nut" and now it wont come off

At this moment I don´t have that rubber wassher at all,, so I´ll have to make it, but yhe thing is that the oil goes up for the wire, so that washer must be very tight to the wire it self??? I mean a small hole to pass the wire??

Guys, look at this: xjbikes.com/Forums/vie...19538.html
The thing that looks like a "rubber garden hose washer" is actually an oil seal between the body and the gear stem. It's "buried" in the assembly so not readily seen. That seal (#4 in the diagram) is what fails.

Chacal has them, or probably any power sports shop. I would think that it is a pretty universal part
