Here's a few pics of my bike as it sits, 09/06/08.
Also here's a short video walkaround with sound.
The original page showing the many incarnations and build of this bike is below... enjoy.

i posted a thread asking a question about your bike... guess you missed it or something. Anyway, did you preheat your metal before welding or just go at it?

wow that bike is really something, you ought to paint all the rust spots tho, unless rust is the look you're going for, but its really nice.

I did not preheat the steel. I have only preheated when welding aluminum. I know there are types of steel that require it, but this is not one.

I also am in the "stock jets with pods army", with open exhaust too. 8000ish miles and going strong. Part of the reason for making a video was to show the purists and non believers that it can be done, without compromising performance. No missing, no backfiring, no holes in the pistons, burnt valves--- just strong and smooth 100% of the time. Take that, doubters...

what did you use for exhaust tubing? is it 4 pipes all the way, or did you collect and re-split?

Looks like you'll have just the ride for the apocalypse.
    Love it!
So what if God owns a Harley check out Death's XJ
If she doesn't have a name can I suggest 'Armegedon'
If you have a pale complexion I wouldn't ride near the retirement village.
    Those headlights effective?

Exhaust is 1 1/2" tube I bought out the side door of a muffler shop. 4 pipes, no collector. The headlights are great, 55 watt each. No problem seeing, in fact I had to point them down a bit, my buddys wouldnt let me ride behind them at night for the brightness. NO hi-lo though.

Looks great! I'm not sure about the spike strip on the tank, but that's just me... One thing you might consider is picking up some plain crank covers to get rid of the "YAMAHA YICS" badging.

And I'm lovin' that dual-sport tire on the rear. Must give a nice "thrum" on the highway.

The rear tire is a on/off road tire Bridgestone Trail Wing. It really dosent make much noise or cause any problems, it WAS designed for road use.
