wheel cylinder puck was stuck on the 83 seca project bike
i just couldn't bring myself to pump grease in it, what a mess
120 psi from the compressor did nothing, needed more pressure
my son's nitrogen tank for his paintball gun was empty, that would have been about 3000 psi (CO2 is about 800)
figured i'd try old school steam power, all i had with the right threads to plug the hole was a yamaha mirror stem
filled the cylinder with water, put some teflon tape on the stem and cranked it down
tied a rope to the mirror so it didn't go flying(good thing)and set it on top
    the kerosene heater
10 minutes later got tired of waiting, propane torch for extra heat
as soon as you detect movement run
    my ceiling

Problem is as soon as it breaks free a bunch of the water will flash to steam.

    KA-BOOM!

Polock glad you weren't hurt. I don't think I'd recommend that method

Ouch, I'd stick with the grease gun method.

i guess i should have put a piece of wood over the piston to keep it from going into orbit
as for the steam, i didn't notice any but it was over a heater that probably dissipated it
i filled the cylinder with water, maybe a shot glass, but if i have to do it again i'll try a teaspoon of water
you have to admit a good ka-boom is more fun than cleaning grease for a half hour :)

Remember, water to steam expansion rate is 1 to 824. QUITE a bit of pressure, glad you weren't standing over it! I think you are safer using the grease method.
