I listed one of my Secas on Ebay. Not so much as a bite at $1650. Dont shoot me but I am actually considering parting it. My other Seca could make use of some of it and I imagine it might make a couple of guys doing restorations really really happy. I was sure it would sell for $1950. I did battle on Ebay to get it for $2100 just two years ago. Am I selling too early or is the XJ market low this year?

early I'd say you need at least a 3wks to a month of nice weather for most people to start thimking bikes.

Definitely early. Another month or so and prices will be going up. Now is the time to buy, not sell.

You better not part out such a beautiful looking bike, that would be a crime no matter the reason!

Your asking price is easily within range, however your timing to sell is early as others have said. Reslist it in 6-8 weeks on ebay to maximize your marketablity. You may want to market it locally, either sit it outside on nice days for sale or even craigslist. Maybe a local buyer will give you your asking price since they will see it in person, its a real looker.

    Good Luck.

Thanks I will let it run the rest of the week. It is supposed to reach 84 degrees on Saturday.

dude, do NOT part that bike. It looks incredible. If I were only closer, the Maxim would have a stable mate. $1650 is a great deal, IMO.

I agree with the others. Wait a couple of weeks and relist or list locally. That bike should move without a problem.

yeah i was looking at that fine bike last night...

i dont usually post about things like this in case one of our members is already considering it. i dont want to contribute to a bidding war...

dont part it out unless you sell me the triple tree to the brakes from it. and the headlight and the computer from the instruments and the front fender too...

Please do not part out that bike. It is an exact duplicate of my first XJ that I bought in summer of 1984
