...Will the left and right handlebar controls from an XS650 work on an XJ650? Mikes XS has some sweet looking chrome housed controls on his site.

Most Jap bikes have similar functions on the switch blocks and can be made to work between models / brands (I put an FZR LH and a GS450 RH on my XJ750)
The biggest problem is the connectors will be a different type, or will have the pins in the wrong place. But not a big problem if you're proficient with a soldering iron.
