hello everybody firts off i wanna say thanks for all the info on the xj's. i bought this from a buddy two years ago for 500bucks, it ran but not well. the headlight was samashed from a crash so this is what i came up with, let me know what you think. i cleaned the carbs TWICE, put new wal mart special seat cover on it,5 dollar taillight, harley footpegs, dirttrack handlebars, ktm rear signals, i did this on the cheap, ive only put about 100 dollars into the bike thats just brakes and a little spray paint mostly. i was dead set against cruisers but not i hardly ride my cbr, its been a great bike and only let me down once. broken clutch cable in albany ny. i wanted a crusier to ride with my wife and do it on the cheap she loves it. i found a buch of usefull tips on this site thanks guys. the bike might not look to good but it runs GREAT. thanks again. Jeff

Pull that heap out of the garage and take some more pics of it. I bet it doesn't look as bad as all that. Anybody here will tell you these bikes have a way of growing on you..
