just bought off craigs list new orleans

    just purchased off craigs list two!!!! yamahas for 250 one is 1978 xs400 great shape my other...... 1985 xj700. bought battery cleaned carbs 3 times. im riding!!!! xs has 18000 xj has 20000 . $$$250.00!!!!!!!!! and its been garage kept, both of them. yayyyyyy

    pictures comin soon. i been riding all day. im polishing with steel wool now. cleanin up real nice. had a problem with running after about ten minutes. stranded twice. the problem was clogged gas cap. whoda thunk it???

    Don't use steel wool it can leave particles behind that will rust.

    Use Scotchbrite instead; comes in multiple grades at the building supply (only one in the grocery store.)

    anyone interested in the xs400? i almost had it runnin but discovered a bad valve. maybe just stuck?
