I bought an 82 but the kickstand had been torn off... what is left are a little of the metal brackets.

Could someone please take a few closeup pictures of the mount and the kickstand... also take a measurement from the pivot point to the foot of the stand??

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Also, anyone have recommendations for where to buy good quality low cost seat covers??

I'm not sure that's what they need. Mines broke off also and I think they need the real picture of one so that one can be fabricated.

Yes, the drawings are not helpful for seeing if I can make one or what. I found some pics, but they are all up close and I can't quite tell where it is or what angle it's mounted at. It's also not my bike. I can't tell if mine is that different, or if all the versions have drastically different mounting for the kickstands.

I know I have a bracket, which seems like it's not the right bracket, and is missing half. Then I have a mess of weld or something that has some wires or something coming out of it. it would be really cool if I just needed the kickstand and half of the bracket, which is mounted on the inboard side of the frame, at a 45 deg angle to the ground, with the bolt holes mounted across, like left to right.

The mess is to the front of it.

I dont think the seca mount is that same as the XJ. I dont see how it could work with dual exhaust. Also on the kickstand, the spring mounts on the other side. Is it basically the same thing but the post the spring attaches to is on the other side? Please correct me if I am wrong, thanks.

on a 82 maxim and a 83 seca,750's if there's a difference, i cant see it

Well I am not too sure. So please correct me if I am wrong. Is there a difference in the mount between 81 and 82. I got a kickstand that other day, but the "hook" where the spring attaches to is on the right side of the kick stand, rather than the left. Did I possibly get the wrong kickstand for this year? Since I have to fabricate one, I guess it doesnt matter too much? Thanks for your help and pictures!
