I'm looking to replace the Oil Pump cover on the right hand side (The circular thing that says "Yamaha YICS" on it) because the PO cracked it when he planted the bike (one of its many accidents)

I already have the replacement, do I need to drain the oil from the bike to remove this plate, or can i just stick the bike on its side stand and unbolt it? Can I get away with reusing the gasket and some paste or do I need to shell out for one of them too?

    Thanks for you help.
