Finn, what kinda bags are those? Where can I get a set like those?
Look like they fit really well.

My wife would kill to have one of those plants you have growing up that pole.
    Her compliments to you.

My compliments on a really sweet looking ride there

Hvnbnd - thanks and thanks to your wife too :)

Plant first: It´s a Clematis (actually you have something called American Clematis society: http://clematis.org/ ). Only thing I know is that the bottom of the plant, just above the roots, is to be protected from direct sunlight..

The Bags are "Willie and Max": http://www.buywillieandmax.com/cat_large.cfm

Had to move the rear signal ligts further back and also modified the "overlapping" section between the 2 bags to raise them away from the mufflers. Used retaining brackets from a Honda Shadow (attached to unoriginal Highway Hawk sissybar brackets - but should be possible to make something work with the original fenderbrackets).

    - and here: http://hjem.get2net.dk/xjmaximdk/udstmo ... ddeltasker

Hardest part was to solder new, longer wires to the signal light (could of course just have prolonged the original ones..). The wires are routed via a small plastic bracket behind the licenceplate holder and between the frame and rear fender to the original connections.

The bags work really well with the slanted front - as long as they are evenly filled and/or have a passenger securing them; I haven´t attached them to anything, so when I ride solo, I use a small or large sissybag.

Good luck - also with the eventual Clematis in AZ :)

Hey Thanks a lot for the reply. I see what you have done to make the bags fit and it looks good. by the way nice bike... hope I can get mine to look that good one day. I bought a set of used aftermarket pipes over the weekend that will run along the base of the bike and give me the room that I need. But, It looks like I'm still going to have tomove the tail lights back in order to make the bags look right. Thanks agin, Ike

    Ike, you´re welcome 8)

    good luck with your build.

    - and the bike´s look is mainly due to the previous owner polishing skills - haven´t quite been able to maintain the standard.. :)
