I used seafoam a couple of years ago but i got scared after someone told me that seafoam was bad for rubber/seals parts.

Is it really a good cleaner?

    Thanks a lot!

After reading all of the glowing reports about it on this forum I decided to try it.

Unimpressed. Used as a gas stabilizer it affected how my bikes ran in the spring until it was out of their systems; I switched back to Sta-Bil.

I mainly use it for flushing out gas tanks after a de-rusting treatment or as a general solvent; about as useful as kerosene.

It's a cleaner, not a fuel stabilizer. Use as directed and it will clean up deposits. I haven't seen any difference between it and Berrymann's B12.

My gripe is the cost. It's $200 a gallon for the active ingredient, which is Naptha (white gas), and since Naptha can be a component to pump gas, it's perfectly safe for carb parts.

Suggested use is 1/2 a bottle into your last gallon in the tank, run the motor, let sit overnite to "work", run it out in the morning. Cost - $4.00

Suggested Acetone treatment (for comparison) - Only 1 OZ to 4 Gallons of name brand gas, run it thru, re-fill. (the Acetone doesn't sit) Cost - $0.25
