Up For sale is this complete Yamaha OEM factory touring package. The package was removed from a single original owner, 83 XJ750 Maxim, from here in the Southwest (Zero rust or such). This is a reallly nice setup with working locks and latches on all components! The original owner had laid the bike down on the right side and managed to do a little damage to the right crash bar, right bag and trunk. I have pictures of the damage below. The right crash bar took the brunt but it did not go thru the bar. It is minimal damage really, and if you are even marginally competent with body filler, the damage is a few swipes away from perfection.

I have not seen a complete OEM package for sale anywhere to gauge the value, so the market will tell me what it is worth. All lighting works, all OEM harness ready to tie in, all brackets are there, complete!

I will accept offers and if one is good I will accept otherwise I am going on ebay for a larger market. I am realllly picky and this is a solid 8/10 in condition for a 26 yr old package.

If you have any questions, please do ask, I will do the best I can to answer.PM me here or Email , desertdistribs @ yahoo . com

Shipping in Cont. USA is $140 (Using foam lined boxes and USPS parcel) 4 Separate boxes Boxes about $35/ box. I need not make money on shipping, so I am doing this as cheap as I can.

Slight cracks in lid around the corners (repaired from inside, need exterior sanded and finished)

Same thing here, light cracks, but lid is Solid and repaired inside.

Crack and scuff on the rear of bag, all surface scratch on back/bottom.
Scrape on Trim striping only, nothing done to fairing at all.

This is what im doing with the bike currently and this is why I do not need this complete touring kit.

From the looks of the mounts and pictures I have been looking at it would likely fit just fine. I am including that aluminum with black stripe mount base, the brackets use it , so It is included, not sure if all stock ones have that bar, but with that mount it all ties together.

I can do measurements if anyone needs them though. Here are 2 pics showing fitment etc...

Same package you had for sale a while back? Surprised it hasn't sold yet, have the bags and trunk on mine. My trunk has the same corner stress cracks. By the way, anyone know what the small bracket on right rear of trunk rail was for, antennae maybe? I like the whole setup, but then again my sporty was dressed out too.

I half way tried to sell it late fall, but I decided, now doing some early spring cleaning that it has to go, haha.

I have been already got more attention thus far thru email, so it appears I will likely do the No Reserve Ebay approach and let it go that way. But I will let it sit here for the week and see if I get the right offer.

Side note: The key for the fairing compartments and the locks for the trunk/bags to bracket as well as trunk/bag compartments IS included. All locks function properly as well.

Since there were a good number of offers, and inquiries for a price, why don't you actually put out your minimun price so we know where we at least start. Obviously you have a pretty high price in mind or it would have sold by now.

    Help us out here.............

I have had offers as low as $75 (Yeah...thats what I said as well, haha) and the largest is $200 just for the complete fairing unit, no bags. Im kind of torn here, I thinks it has more value as a package, but I don't think im being unreasonable trying to get closer to $350+ range. That's why I was thinking of going to ebay and just letting it go for face value, saves me from "hoping" to get a price and consumer gets fair face value opportunity. Shipping does kill though, and that is with me doing 'At cost' shipping,I wish there was a cheaper way, but this stuff is bulky! Thanks for the input.

That's better, and pretty reasonable for someone on the list! Ok, I don't need the whole package cuz I have similar one already (just the fairing itself is different) but I'm interested in the guards/bars that are right in front of the saddlebags. Would you consider selling me just those two parts? PM me.

    Thanks!

Those guard bars are why the right bag didnt get compromised in the lay down, a very good piece to have. You can see the mounted pic how the bar ground down, but it is still straight at least. I will have to pass on selling them separate, I think it is important that it goes "complete".

    Thanks

    Looks like ebay it is.

I am going to shoot a video of all the components and how all the compartments work etc. Then I will place the add, maybe tomorrow.

    Thanks!

There is no way I was going to ship anything, let alone 3 large boxes, during this "Day After Tomorrow" type weather!! So it looks like this week will get a slight bit better, I will still update when I do put the auction up. Thanks

Ok things look to be MUCH more "mild" now, weather wise.

I have the right side cover and 2 good mufflers and a few other goodies I will put up as well. If I don't need it to start or run, it will be for sale. Already sold speedo, so that is out though.

Thanks, I will post links on Wednesday! (Doing ads is always a painstaking process, but it works well for both sides!)
