    Indeed! Free bump.

I personally prefer the look of a debadged bike. Keeps people guessing.

Tis a shame that this came from a member here. This is why I hate buying site unseen. I may pay a bit more when I get my emblems, but I will get them from Chacal, whom I trust, and I will be confident they will be in great condition.

I really don't like the flakey gold plating on this style of badge. I always thought if someone where to come up with a quality decal that looked like the original badges I think there would be a market for it.
Any guys out there with a decal laser cutting machine?

Laser etching is incredible expensive, and I have done it. The cheapest unit is 10 grand, the the software is another 3 grand. But... it does a fantastic job. I have a small roll of stainless steel, 1.25" wide x .025" thick that I have been contemplating etching a set of emblems , and then polish the stainless. Or...polish the stainless strip, then "anneal" (turns the surface of the steel where the laser etches the artwork black resembling paint). The annealing is ever so lightly etching the surface not even deep enough to feel or catch a nail. It works by the laser superheating the steel and bring the carbon in the steel to the surface. It looks absolutely fantastic, and the next time I get my hands on the etcher at work (in another state right now  ) then I am going to draw up some tank emblems and see how it turns out...

I went through four sellers on ebay before I found good quality die cut vinyl.

He does an excellent job. Has gold, silver, carbon fiber, white, reflective white, etc.

Also does custom decals at a reasonable price.

I'm having trouble figuring out this forum. First post even says they're sold. Why would anyone else send money? I'm lost.

As far as refinishing, there's another list membe who did a write-up on re-doing the letters with sheets of Gold Leaf, and painting black on the rest. Not sure where it is, though, maybe someone else can find it.
