    I have a complete 85 XJ700
    It has good Hitachi carbs.
    Bike is in Central NH

It was a "Rat Bike" project my son (and I) started.
The engine (at one time) ran with carb cleaner sprayed down carbs.
    Carbs needed overhaul, so
I took them off, cleaned them up
bought new jets, float valves, gaskets, ect about $200
Then my son joined the army
Bikes has been sitting outside for 4 or 5 years.
The Carbs are off and stored inside.
I'll sell you the the whole bike including new carb parts
for $150 That sless than the new carb parts would cost.

Here is a pix of bike from a couple years ago.

It's in sad shape, good parts bike or rat bike project.
I never rode it so don't ask silly questions.
I would rather it go to a good home than my scrap metal dealer.

I'm not going to monitor this site so

Hey Dave I could throw it on the trailer on my next trip home. It would only add a couple hours to my trip to go down and pick up the bike and drop it off at your place.

The 85 XJ700 has been adopted. It's now taking a nap after it's long, hot, record-breaking-temps day yesterday. It looks like my red xj700 airhead has adopted it........after they sniffed each other tires for a bit, they cozied right up to each other.

Thanks Dave, I'll update you when the bike gets built, and thanks Maverick for hauling it this direction! Hope you didn't get caught in the storms that we saw from the parking lot!

Same here. Fortunately another list member who lives within an hour of me was working in NH at the right time and was willing to swing by and pick it up for me! Yes, it's adopted, and will either become a nice bike again, as long as paperwork can be done, or it will be a donor to get others back to life. Either way, it's going to be something again.........
