im looking to sell or trade the gas tank from my 82 xj550. I hand hammered the sides in for the "dished" look and put handlebar indents on the front. see http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=37419.html for bigfitz52's reaction. I know this is just a stock tank but i spent quite a few hours with the hammer on this one and get a lot of compliments on the job. after the new dents in front for the bars it needs a repaint but ill leave that up to the new owner. what im looking for is cash or a different tank. i really like old honda knee dent tanks and some of the seca tanks, let me know what you have worst i can say is no, im just looking for a different look on my bike
if you want some pics just text me at 586)219-3641 and ill shoot a couple

btw, the tank and petcock are in good shape everything works as it should

Web, from what I understand they fit but just don't look "right" because the frames are different. I'm not really concerned with that since my bike is not stock at all.
