I finally got around to getting the clearcoat over my flame job today. I used Duplicolor paint and Duplicolor High heat clarcoat over the paint. I don't know if it's exactly a custom job, but it will still look better than the Seca tank on my bobber.

And to topit off, I added a little pinstriping to the top.

    Very Nice! Professional looking too....

Did you airbrush the flames? Thats certainly no spray can right?

    Kudos.

Oh ya, I did the flames by taping them off and using an air brush to do the fading. Then I ran a fine pinstripe around the edges to dress them up a little. I haven't used the old air brush for years (only to do shadows on signs) and it seems to do an acceptable job.

Very nice. I am always amazed at the quality that you guys get out of your cans.

    Nice work!

A friend of mine did mine with rattle cans as well. Duplicolor Mystify purple/green, with Duplicolor "anodized" purple flames fading to silver tips. The silver tips are light enough that the colorshifting properties show in them too. Sadly, from the bike sitting, the clear coat is cracking. I'm gonna try giving it a light sanding and respray the clear to try to rescue it because it looks fabulous. I'll try to get a pic of the side that is still good.
