so, it has been a while since i have been on here, but now i could use some advice.

i bought this bike from a friend years and years ago, i use it for everything, but been having more and more problems. some problems were from the previous owner, but now they have gotten worse. i have tried to fix what i could afford but right now, im not making enough to spend on this, so im wondering a few things......

first off. im not very well off fixing this bike by myself, i do have some knowledge, but im a little more paranoid of screwing something up and then being without a bike...i work better when i have someone helping me.

so im wondering, with the problems this bike is causing me, it being at almost 61 thousand miles, would it be worth it to fix it?

i have an oil seapedge (not leaking, just seaping) comeing out of the cam heads, the parts would be about $120 to get, i could save up for that

the boots for the carb and airbox could use replaced, some are cracked.

the timing has gone off and i cant seem to keep it at a good level.

the biggest problem i am having right now is after a short trip, the bike gets hot and then when you try to start it up again, it makes the starter grind some. makes it hard to start.

theres a few other things, but those are the biggest ones right now.

is it worth keeping it and fixing it? i ride around 10k miles a year, its my main and only transportation right now. i do have a friend who helps me but im not sure if this bike is worth it anymore.
