No gas in center carbs

    i just got a 1985 xj700n a took off the carbs and clean them out. when i put them back in it would start but die rightaway. i checked to see if the bowls had gas only the outer two did. i took off the carbs again and cleaned them i blow air through the gas line and felt no restriction. then put the carbs back in and still no gas in the center carbs PLEASE HELP ME OUT

    Hi. Welcome to XJBikes.

    The bike ran before you cleaned the carbs?

    Did you take the float needle seat out and check they are not blocked there?

    Did you check the floats can move freely?

    Sounds like the problem is with the float needles/seat or the floats themselves are jammed closed. With the carbs off the bike, float boles removed and the carbs upside down blow into the fuel line (not too hard!) and gently lift the floats on each of the problem carbs to check for correct operation. Check all floats are level, middle ones match outside ones. Check everything moves freely.

    Post back what happens and we can go from there.

    If you have fuel to the Outside Carbs ...
    The fuel is being denied entrance to 2 & 3

    Float Valve Body Beenie Filters Clogged
    Pull Valve - clean beenies.

    Stuck Floats.
    Floats jammed; Pins not opening.
