Pulled apart my hot rod motor to replace both head and base gaskets. Unfortunately a ring was broken during reassembly. I guess I'll do a hone and replace all of them. One problem, I don't know what kind of pistons they are to order new rings. Pistons are 61mm.

Here are some pictures of the motor.

Head has been ported and the cams are huge. I think they are Yoshimura. Could pistons be also?

If you measure the size of the rings I'm sure Wiseco will have something of suitable bore, width & depth ;)

The pistons are Wiseco. Unfortunately, they don't make that style ring in 60mm. :(

where do you live? I might have a set of rings for you. I had a seca 550 but put the FJ600 engine in it and I bored out the cylinders for the 652 kit. If you can find any info on them or if you lived close to me, I could bring them by. another option and I don't know if they are still in business is total seal piston rings. They might be able to help you out.

Hello dinoracer. I was wondering if you'd chime in on this thread. I remember you saying you may have a set of rings for these pistons.

I haven't found out any more info on the pistons. I did wind up sending one to Wiseco for them to make a few of the 60mm pistons sets with the new style ring that they use now..

If you have a set of rings for this old style piston, I'd gladly pay you for them.
