Hey ALL, I have been looking around for a (short) sissy bar for my 82 maxim, with no succsess, atleast none that I like. I am to the point that it looks like making one or buying one for another application and making a mod. is the way to go. Anyone have a good place that they have bought one that works well, or anyone had success making one? would like to have it about mid back for passenger.

Sno thanks again for the site link, just made a similar sissybar as the site with some 3/4 inch square tubing I got from a area dealer that they get from the steele crates bikes are shipped in, then hit a well known cycle bone yard and found a pad with no tears or other damage for $10. Great idea and very helpful site. will have to post picks soon, oh yea the little lady says much thanks as well LOL
