I have one like that on my 81 xj 750.It has a metal frame that attaches in about 4 places on the handle bars and trees I think.then you mount the fairing to the metal frame.I may have a photo of it on my comp or will be able to get one today.

    nice find!
Easy to mount, should only take about 20 minutes depending on how easy you can get to the top 2 bolts. Bottom 2 bolts are easy to get to though.

I had one on my Seca when i bought it but it got busted up in a wreck early in my riding career. I bought another one off fleabay, then sold the bike to a friend of mine whereas he proceeded to bust that one up in a wreck also. I got the bike back from him because he is not motorcycle literate and didn't have time to repair it. So now i have 2 stock sport fairings in various states of damage. It's a shame too, these are kinda hard to find and i think the bike looks much better with it installed.

The picture in my signature shows the 2nd fairing (black) installed right before I sold the bike to my friend. Now the bike is in naked state!

Show us some pictures when you get it mounted.

Hey, thanks for the photo beanflicker. I bought one (OME YAMAHA) off ebay a while ago. Paint doen't match but I plan on painting anyway.
Anyone have experience with fibreglass on this plastic. I was thinking of adding a glovebox.

Send me pictures and problems when it's mounted, as I haven't done mine yet ...

I've heard (seen on other forums) you can just use a souldering iron on the cracked pieces (on the back) to melt it back together, then do some finishing on the front.

Thanks for the info... Naturally as soon as it showed up the weather took a turn for the worse but looks like it should go on pretty easy. Only thing missing is the lens but I've got a stack of lexan so fabricating one should be no problem.
