About a week ago, the temps around here headed for freezing and never looked back. I was hoping that the cold spell would snap, but I'm afraid it may be here for the duration. That means the highway between me and work will be impassible on two wheels. The roadway, shown above, is on the North face of a rather large hill and in the winter months is pretty much in the shade all day long.

No, that's not snow on the left-hand sholder. It's frost. I guess I'm done for the year. It's Parked Motorcycle Syndrome for me. Now, where's my list of winter projects? Recover seat, replace fork seals, clean fuel bowls and install stainless drain screws...

Yeah, that's the double-edged sword of winter......no more riding, but time for the winter projects you wouldn't dare start in the summer!

Yep, I've been parked for about 3 weeks now myself. I want to look over my carbs too, but I was going to wait till spring, as the bike is running okay for now. I'll need a new front tire by then, too. Not riding anywhere now, though. It's even getting frosty inside the tent garage.

Mild winter and an early spring. Pleeze, Santa? :(

I ride all year round... Mind you our winters (In the north anyway) don't get that cold that it freezes.

Plus it's summer at the moment and I've riden about 1000kms in the last 3 weeks.

Add me to the PMS club. Of course I didn't bury it too deep, just in case we get a late Indian Summer  .
