    I just got done fabricating the new speedometer mount for the bobber. I'm using an old Honda speedo and an aluminum mount with LED lindicator lights I fabricated. It should look alot better than the old gauges I took off.
    For some reason, Radio Shack doesn't carry a blue LED, so I'll just have to do with a red one for the highbeam indicator till I find one that matches the others.
    The speedometer seems to be mounted a little crooked (just temperarily mounted for the photo)

    That looks sharp! Very clean; very simple.

    Can I get you to pop over to my thread and lend me your expertise?

    Philbrewer,
    My wiring setup is no more than;
    1st - cutting all those plastic connectors out and soldering the wires together.
    2nd - cut all the wires to the speedometer/tachometer and marking them to what they are used for.
    3rd - made the speedometer mount with LED lights in it for signals, high beam and nuetral.
    4th - connected the proper wires to the LEDs for the signals, highbeam, nuetral indicator and speedometer backlight.
    5th - turned on the key to check and see how everything worked...and it worked perfect.
    There appears to be about 12 wires that I don't use any more, so I just labled them (incase I need some of them in the future) , sealed the ends off with heat shrink tubing, and tucked them under the tank with zip-ties to hide them.
    If I do anything more to it, I may just re-do the entire wiring harness and elliminate the wires I don't use any more. PD
