He could have been watching pinks - was given 30 lengths to start. :-/

Seriously - no xj in any state of tune is going to come near a current litre bike.

then i guess no 30's chevy coupe will run under 8sec in a quarter right but i'v seen it done over 10 times but there 2 i guess that there is no sound barrer and the world is flat and all the outher good things.

and i guess if no xj will then i guess you can find any body with a modern gsxr-1000 stock to race me for pinks.

tuning a bike is like tuning a car change cam's pistons and so on you gain power just like jetting up a holly carb im can beleave you of all people think you cant tune a bike car the same way and dam if no xj in any state of tue can beat a monder bike than i want to know

HTF that xj with drag tire running around 300hp cant beat it.

you said any state of tune if you read my post the bike isent stock

so any one with a stock gsxr-1000 want to get a free bike i guess i cant beat you ill race for pink's (as long as it's on a clear dry non bumpy 1/4mile)

kind also wondering if you follow 4th gear to red line how fast are you going because at the end of the quarter i was in 5th and i followed it to red line.

on the outher note i am no longer selling it to any one off this web sight due to the ingerance of some well respected people on this sight and if theay were as smart as theay think they are then theay would know any thing can beat any thing iv seen a 88 crysler mini van beat at LS1 corvett granted it had a 502 in the back seats but like any thing any thing can be modifyed sorry to say this will be my ture finely post

because of some relly ignerant and unintelegant people

With all of those mods done on it you must have dyno'ed. That will show your top speed and your peak horsepower.

As you are selling a modified bike nobody is going to buy your claims without some proof. Bring the proof and I'll apologize for stating the facts.

I said state of tune - not engine transplant. In order to beat a gsxr1000 you need to make over 110hp with that engine -- probably more than that.

What's the rule - 4 times the power to go twice as fast? The drag on the xj is so huge at speed it will need WAY WAY WAY more power than the gsxr to be anywhere near it.

I suppose you also mounted a full streamliner fairing as well.

    This is just getting silly.
    woot.

Not to mention that the XJ weighs a good 100 lbs more than a gixxer.

Don't let the door hit ya on your way out!

Do you have a 502 in your xj? No? Well then STFU

Also maybe you should learn to spell before you talk about other people's ignorance.

And lastly it's the internet man, no need to get your e-feelings hurt

So pull that stick out of your butt and HAVE A GREAT DAY!!! :)

P.S. I don't have a gsxr but my cousin has an R1 if you ever get down to GA hit us up and we can take it to the track. (No streetracing)

I don't know much about motorcycles, so when reading the posts of those that can disassemble their bikes blindfolded, I feel a little inferior. I also don't know much about computers, so when I see all the posts that have anything beyond simply cutting and pasting, likewise I feel a bit inferior. But there were a few posts that gave me a warm feeling and made me think to myself, "Damn, DarthBob, but you sure are a good speller!". sigh. I guess those days are over.

    Toad,

I had no interest in joining the fray on this thread, but I think you've crossed the line now. Whoever posted your bike on Craigslist is a jackass with nothing in common with most of us here, but publicly stating that you wish them to be cut off by a drunk driver and bleed to death in front of a loved one? Your name shouldn't be 'iwasatoad' because you clearly still are one. That is one of the most offensive things I've ever read. Of course, as angry as it makes e, I would never even consider wishing such a thing on you.

    Greg
