Used 10.5" Sorgys shocks on a 1982 550 Maximim?

    HARLEY SPORTSTER CUSTOMIZER 10.5 INCH SHORT SHOCKS from Sorgys Scooter Supply (on ebay)

    Has any one used these to lower their bike?

    a link would be nice, but i did a search, and they should fit, you'll just need to replace the rubber bushings to fit on your XJ. Keep in mind though they are not 'Harley Shocks" they are aftermarket, so I don't know if you'll get the same quality of shock. They seem a bit pricey too since you can get a good set of Harley take offs for a 3rd of the price

    Ace_Frehley --- I would like the Harley shocks but I cannot find them. Went to a motorcycle junk yard (none) and asked at Harley dealers. All the dealers said that when they put new/different shocks on the bikes they always give the owner the old pair. Where can I find them in Dallas TX?

    If I were gonna spend that kind of money, I'd push the boat out a bit farther and bid on these sweet Progressive shocks.

    Now those are some SHIZZOCKS! :wink:

    I think I'd go for a piggyback resi shock rather than a harley part (if I was looking at spending $200).

    Stock sporty shocks are great for lowering though.
