Title: Highway bars?
sandman - May 3, 2005 09:26 PM (GMT)
I ride every now and then with a group from work. On the last one I thought it would sure be nice to be able to kick my feet forward for a bit. Anybody fit on a set onto a XJ750 Seca? I would like to do this but I would like to hear some other opinions.
Thanks!

I have thought about adding some too but I don't think they could be mounted out far enough for me. In order to get my legs close to strait the highway bars out have to be mounted out past the crash bars and that would look kind of funny. Of course this summer I plan on doing some longer rides so I may have to check it out again. If you come up with something be sure to post pictures.

If you check EBAY, a set comes up once in a while. I've got a set on my XJ750 Maxim. And yes, I do enjoy kicking out my legs... :)

I'll have to keep an eye on Ebay for them!
I dont have any crash bars so it might work out OK.
Do you know if the front frame area is the same between the Seca and the Maxim?

I bought a set for my Maxim that mount on the crash bars. Eventhough I cant fully stretch out they are still worth the $50
I have a full set of matching ISO pegs now. not to mention ISO grips. Looks good!

Hey Mr. Fork by any chance could you post some pics of your bars. I'd like to try to make my own. I've got a '82 Maxim 550 and haven't been able to find any that I like. Also has anyone tried to put on forward controls?
Thanks
