i'm thinking about buying a 1980 650 for pretty cheap, problem is it was stolen a few months ago then recovered by the police but with some parts missing. the main problem is the ignition module was removed so the thief could start the bike. obviously it won't run now without the module, and i'm wondering how difficult it will be to find one of these parts. anybody know? also, can anybody tell me how much it'll cost me? thanks.

when I looked it up, if it is the key ignition you're refering to, it came up as 91.00 bucks......

I have an 81 XJ 650 and I bought a used ingition module off of E-bay for $20. It works great.
