Wire to battery!?

    Hi there! Just a stupid question, on my seca there is a wire going straight in to one of the batterycells(i can see it even in the wiring diagram, so obviously it is not something homemade as i thought), have never seen anything like that before so i wonder what it's for....

    It's a battery electrolyte sensor, it will cause the battery warning to light if the level gets low in the battery.

    I find its a good reminder to top off the battery with distilled water.
