I like it BUT he has a lot of $$$$$$ tied up . Lots of engineering and thought went into this bike. :)

Astounding, wonder what she'll do, wonder how the shaft holds up (uprated??), Got to imagine 200 horses, fairly decent bodywork, she should top out at 185+ easily..... not knowing the weight of the beast!!

Wow, quite a bit of engineering and fabrication to create that bike!

No telling how much $ it would cost to complete a project like that? Add to that, the countless hours it takes to get something of that caliber from conception to completion.

I'm very curious on how he mated up the shaft drive differential to the 17" rear wheel? Poses somewhat of a challenge when converting to a disk brake set up. Not to mention all the other unique bits and pieces on that build.

sure if you are not worried about the redline . gearbox is still the gearbox which linits the speed. you will just get there quicker

Have to agree with you on that.

I now have to ask why he went through all the trouble to use a Seca 900 engine? Wonder why he didn't use an FJ1200 engine that has a 5 speed with a chain so you could gear it appropriately for whatever speed the bike is truly capable of.

As a practical matter, getting to 130 quickly matters more than going beyond 130.

I know it has standard gearing, or as near as, but even so, with only 10,000RPM to play with, and 200HP, it's still going to hit at least 150, albeit right on the redline.......i wonder how he mated the rear wheel, to the shaft, wasan't the 9 and 18" rear, so less diameter=more revs, or less, someone clever help me here!! (and yes, I CAN'T remember for the life of me if my 16" Maxim 750 was quicker, or slower, top end wise than the standard 18" 750!!!)

I wonder this myself but I think he used a 17" from an XJ900 Diversion. I'm uncertain if any mods are needed to mount it to the final drive. Also the stock 82 swingarm is already tight with a 130/90-16. A 150/70-17 would likely rub the swingarm.
I would think a 150/70-17 would be taller than the 120/90-18.

We never got them in North America at all. I'm fortunate to have ridden one 5,000 kms all over Norway.
Except for the never ending rain that trip was awesome. One minute you're following the coast of a fjord then traversing a mountain to get to the next fjord, the pavement just never straightens out.

In the 80s, we got the seca 900. Never got the 90s Diversion.

Divvy 900 was NEVER as popular , even with couriers, not quite sure why......too 'modern/bland' looking, I think.....

I did use the XJ900S Diversion rear wheel. It was a direct fit. A 160/70R17 will fit on the stock rim.To get a lower profile race tire I needed to widen the rim from 4" to 5". I was able to squeeze a 160/60ZR17 Metzeler Racetec RR tire in there. I modified the swingarm too. I added an upper support and shock mount for the mono shock and spread the right side outward to allow for installation. I had to machine and weld in a new axle clamp locator because of this.

cool did you ever get to make the middle gear?

    i'm interested in the stats
    1/4 mile
    time to redline?
    top end.
you have defenitly made a quick bike.
do you think the 900 motor will take the stress of the turbo and/or did you fab some connecting rods and pistons ect?.
you did do a fantastic job on the bike , looks great must be an exciting bike to ride.
I have seen topics on fitting the standard 650 with the turbo from turbo 650 and why you can;t or should not do it which is what brings up my questions
