High Res PDF of XJ650 Wiring Harness Diagram

Heya, New to motorbikes and new to the forum and have learned a ton here already in the month since i got my 82 xj650 Maxim..

I've been poring over manuals and low res scans of xj650 wiring diagrams and was having a hard time making use of them due to the low res...

I have some graphic design background and was sick of the low res versions so i drew up a high res vector PDF of the wiring diagram.

Now, I want to give back to the XJBikes forum for the great info i've found here so far.

OK, cool; however:

There were two distinct series of 650 Maxim; the pre-YICS ('80~'81) bikes and the YICS ('82~'83) bikes.

They had electrical differences; most notably the YICS bikes had electronic tachs whereas the pre-YICS had mechanical tachs; plus the safety circuit was different (simpler) on the earlier bikes. There may also be headlight circuit/relay differences (not sure on this part.)

So which series 650 Maxim is this for?

 

Lets call it the YICS version. I copied it from the only color version of a scanned diagaram i could find.

it calls out several notes, and shows different tracings for the different models. Look closely at the callouts and notes section to see the different tracings.

Hi All. I am new to forums and the like. I just bought an 82 xj650 maxim YICS that has been neglected for far too long. Firstly i have been trying to sort out the wiring. from reading the forums, it looks like its typically a mess. I am trying to locate a wiring diagram that is clear enough to read. the links above dont seem to work. I appreciate all the help and look to be involved in the forum more.
