Has anyone attempted to build their own exhaust setup for there bike? I'd like to give it a shot maybe using muffler tips from a truck and some spare pipe I have laying around. Any suggestions?

Do you have a way to bend the pipe that you have?
How thick of a wall does it have?
Do you have the ability to flare the ends of each section so that it can be dismantled?
What mufflers are you planning to use?
It can be done, but you really do need to think ahead and plan things out so it will both work, and not look like crap. If you haven't done a motorcycle exhaust before then consider your first effort to likely end up as a learning tool. It might turn out perfect, but im my experience it's best to assume that the first attempt of anything won't.

Those look sick! What kind of pipe did you use and do you by any chance have any close up pics?

I'm thinking I'm going to use my headers and just make pipes that go from the header back.

1 3/4" and 1 1/2" exhaust pipe... It's all in the write up. No other pics other than what are in the build thread, sorry.

well I cut off the old mufflers off and addded a set of 20" exhaust tips for a truck. I like the way it sounds so far.
