Hello I changed my fusebox today and thought I might show people how I did it. I wanted to keep the box on the side of the battery box so I had to cut off the original bracket that held the fuse box. I then drilled holes in the battery box that fit the new fuse block. This gave me the clearance needed to mount the side cover. I painted the Battery box and mounted the fuse box and cut the bolts flush so the battery can't get busted. Hooked up the wires and coated the connections with liquid tape. That's all there is to it.

    Here are the pictures

I noticed that you (and everyone else on this forum) seems to be using the 6 fuse block. Is this because the 4 fuse version will only take 50 amp max combined, or was it just the only one you could get?

It was available and I figured that I can use the other two for anything I add later. I also use the extra slots for backup fuses. No worrying about finding a fuse when I need one the most.

That is some liquid electrical tape. I thought it was black when I got it. It can not be seen with the cover on and they are all hot so that is the way it will stay for now.
    Thanks

OK good! Here is what you will need and I omitted above.

    Fuse box of course

Eight 1/4 inch Female connectors size 14-16 works well. Get a extra or two just in case you miss crimp one. I HATE having to go back to the store for a 20 cent thing. OK rant over.
I used non weather resistant type connectors planing to solder them but they fit so tight it did not need solder. The liquid tape seals it better but is thin and somewhat messy. Get black! lol

Bolts nuts washers, paint, drill, cutting wheel, and electrical pliers for striping and crimping.
I marked the wires with a black marker. I used one two and three lines and left the blue wires unmarked. I also did one side at a time just to keep it simple and f... up proof.

Have fun and enjoy years of I AM NOT THINKING ABOUT MY FUSE BOX ANYMORE!

    Help.

Where did you find the fuse block?
I have been looking all over, and can't find a thing.

    Thanks,

I got mine from DelCity. Funny, they sent me the wrong bottom half twice. They must have had the part in the wrong bin. Eventually, the sales guy I was talking to finally walked down to the wharehouse and selected it himself.

Got all the electrical parts I needed from them.
