On top od the upper case... there appears to be a bolt with a tightening lock nut on it. Just under the cam chain tensioner. What is this for? Is it to adjust the slack in the stator chain? I tried to find a pic of it in the fiches but I was unable to see it.
Can anyone confirm its purpose? And how to adjust it?

    Mike....

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed..

I vaguely remember this coming up before and if I remember correctly I believe the consensus was not to mess with it. So if you were thinking of doing anything I would wait for a more definitive answer to come along.

It holds the rear camchain guide in place and allows that guide to be removed without taking the engine apart. Leave it alone unless you are replacing the rear camchain guide.
