Thanks guys, seems like I work cheap Robert!

I've been avoiding getting into these anti-dive units and the forks for some time now, always something else to do for someone else other than myself.

When i took mine apart, there was a red rubber o-ring type washer between the spring and upper shalf of the damper piston assembly. it was all cracked up and is not re-usable. i see that there isnt one in the photo above. is this something i should worry about or just leave it out?

EDIT: I apologize. i didnt see that the photo is of an anti-dive system of an 83 XJ900. it looks very similar to mine, a 82 XJ750 Seca.... Are these similar? if so, should i still worry about this rubber washer i mentioned? Ill try to get pix up soon....

The photo is of an 82 750 Seca, they should look the same as yours.

I was hoping maybe someone out there could tell me where to look? Or maybe I'm better off just bypassing altogether? Idk?! Please help!
