    b3) Used YAMAHA side emblems available for XJ650 Maxim tank, both RH and LH sides, okay condition, original gold has worn off but has been re-painted with a flat, brushed gold paint (not shiny). $5/pair + shipping.

    Hi Cannonjr, I still have them, but I noticed that one of them has a crack all the way through the last "A" letter.....very noticable. Superglue may dimish it a bit. Let me know.

    I did a crank case flush and and oil change this morning and cleaned the oil sender unit while it was empty of oil and thats what was keeping it from starting.

    Hey Cannonjr, I don't know whether they'll fit a 550, the XJCD says they are different part numbers, but as to whether they'll interchange or not, you'll have to ask around and see if anyone else has tried this......

    Air Mixture Tool:

    v) Idle Mixture Screw Tool for proper removal/adjustment.....I've had this specially made so you won't be buggering up the head on these rather fragile screws. An exact-width blade is recessed up into a shrouded cover that sits down over the screw, completely and properly capturing the screw head slot....this design not only eliminates stripping out the idle mixture screw slot, but also allows for very fine adjustment of the screw when fine-tuning the carbs (when using a colortune plug, etc.). Knurled top handle provides for a positive grip and 1/4-turn increments are marked for a visual indication of turns. A very neat little tool and it'll last a lifetime or two.

    Not to be a total tard, but can you separate a list of what you have for Mikuni from what you have for Hitachi carbs? I am confused. I would like to see the Mikuni carb list as there may be things I would like to replace on my XJ550's carbs...such as the hardware that is stripped (drain screws, bowl screws, heat shield screws).

    Hey PGH.....well, right now I don't have much in the way of Mikuni specific items. Just what is listed, which is basically carb bowl gaskets, float needle repair kits, and sad to say....that's about it! Although I have a couple of used sets of Mikuni carbs around here, I just haven't had the time to sit down with them and figure out all the available and interchangable parts to them.

    So, parts for Mikuni carbs will come----eventually. If anyone that knows a bit about them and can give me some pointers on them (as far as interchangability between the various XJ models that used them) that would be a great help. I'm pretty sure that some of the hardware pieces (for example, carb hat screws, etc.) actually interchanges between Hitachi and Mikuni carbs---God knows that I've "eyeballed" them more times than I care to think about!----but until I actually put micrometer, caliper, thread gauge, and research book time to them, I'd rather not guess. I'm sure that you would prefer I not guess either!

    So to all you Mik guys out there, be aware that I'm thinking about you and feel your pain.......I'll get it done as soon as I can, thank for your patience and any help you can lend!
