    You're back in the UK?

    Looks cleaner than most of the bikes you latch onto.

    Just brushed some of the dust off, making a tentative start, rotor cover is cracked, found a s/h on the bay, had to drill & re-tap one of the bolt holes.

    Valve clearance, using Polock's plastic shim replacements.
    Method:
    Take all readings.
    Remove the shims that need changing & slip in the plastic shims, you can then go on turning the motor without damaging cam lobe or bucket, sort out all your swops & replacements.
    Makes life a whole lot easier.

    That side-pull choke linkage is a thing of beauty. Interesting to see cast "hats" too.

    Motor running fine, smoked a lot at first but cleared. Pictures of mk2 bike lift & 4 into 2 pipes I found, but need headers for 2 & 3.
    Will start the strip down.

    3/4 of the fun is doing the work. I only keep one rider myself and let the projects pass on to someone who appreciates them.

    Pretty bike looks great! As a point of reference on the lift;
    I saw one on the net the same as yours but they cut it in 1/2 and stretches it about 4' added steel and welded everything it made a very nice lift and the handle/ part that sticks out was in front of the front wheel. I'll look for pics.
