The midwest (particularly up north) traditionaly has a return to winter before March is over, and it will last until mid-April.
My project isn't done either. I need some machine work done, but I have to wait for a few small family crises to be resolved before spending any money (plus I'm not reassembling an engine in a 40ºF garage (that's with heat), so I had to wait anyway).

I don't have a heated garage, so no you're not the only one, but I think for very different reasons.

don't panic yet. the potholes are everywhere, the intersections have sand and gravel, rivers of snow melt cross the roads, the berms are like quicksand and a salty wet road is like grease.
every year in the early spring i read about some guy that failed to make a turn, don't let it be you

I agree with everything K-Moe said... my "small family crisis" is growing in the wife's belly, so this one may not even be ready next spring! Oh well, I guess that "project" takes priority over all! Still... definitely in a panic!

You think you have a fever? Try spending the weekend in Daytona, FL during the kick off weekend of Bike Week and coming home to a bike thats still torn down to the frame and parts strewn about needing to go back together! I should be farther along with the build but I'm still waiting on parts!

I still have to rewire (which I've never done) before I can start the bike up and ride it up the steps out of my basement. Then I can paint.

*I have begun crafting a massive stepped ramp and will have two other guys helping. I got it down there, I can get it back up!

+1 on that video. I trashed my '75 Z1 pretty good attempting to ride into a UHaul trailer. Was impatient and decided to not wait for help, went off the right side.

Also, wear your motorcycle gear when moving the bike in "dangerous" ways. It's all made for the tip-over impact, and you'll appreciate all the abrasion resistant material and padding as you try to save you tumbling bike.

I've ridden my bikes into and out of U-Haul trucks, even returned a Penske truck by riding my Seca into it, driving to the Penske Store, rolling it out, dropping of the keys and riding home.

It's always better to have help, but if not, just remember, no stopping on the ramp! Make sure your lined up and commit. If you stop, you tip over and fall off the ramp.

Oh, and always be careful of the apex of a ramp. If you bottom out as your front wheel passes this point, you'll break the last rule!

You can also search YouTube and learn from other's mistakes!

You people are pathetic for not having your bikes ready ....
Just kidding - I finally ordered my parts today, but my garage is not heated either.
I just had hernia surgery Friday so won't be able to do much for a while anyway.
But the meds seem to make things ok for the time being. lol

I ride the sleds all winter........got three inches of snow two days ago, still 2 ft on the ground in my field, so I rip around each night when I get home. I can get up to 70 or 80 mph before hitting the brakes, and I can do it legally :)
    Its my field :)

haha.....actually, I like the late-80's to mid-90's Polaris Indy sleds.....the main rides are 1994 Indy 440 SuperSport, 1997 Indy Ultra 700, 1990 Indy 500. I have, of course, a bunch of others, some run....some are projects.

I think you might be my father in law. His garage is a revolving door for exactly the sleds you just listed plus a few others. The Indies are my favorites because they're lower to the ground, so I always feel like I can take the turns faster.

Yeah, my friend used to ride some modded Polaris sleds. My recollections were that those suckers were FAST!!!
