well I have no experience with either, but I have plenty experience with multiple carb setups and balancing them, and I can say that there are many viable ways to tune your carbs.

    I have the morgan carbtune
it uses steel rods instead of fluid
    both will do the job
but I really like the Morgan, very simple to use

I have this, and couldn't be happier. both my bikes run like a top, and I used this to sync the carbs...

at a fraction of the cost of a morgan carbtune, how can you go wrong? I can sync a set of carbs in less than 5 minutes with this setup.

I've used gauges, homemade boards/manometers, and recently purchased a carbtune. I'm sold on the carbtune and wish I would've got one sooner. No calibration, no dampers to adjust, easy to hang on the bars and responds to the changes very quickly.

I'm not familiar with this one, but the "base carb instructions" in the description don't seem like they would work on these bikes since there is not 1 carb that is not adjustable and would be a good reference. Would you sync 1&2, then 3&4, then 2&3 for the pairs? I also like being able to see all 4 at the same time to ensure it's good.

one tube has a reference ball, the other tube connects between 2 carbs. you adjust the carbs till the reference ball matches with the other one. yes 1&2 then 3&4 then 1/2&3/4. takes me all of about 5 minutes and works perfectly. it also stores easily in a sandwich sized Ziploc bag.

I just got mine last week. Took less than 5 mins., considering it's the first time I've done a running sync. Cheap but had to wait 3 1/2 weeks from GB to Canada

I'm sure the morgan carb tune works great, but for the price, you can't beat the setup I am using.

Has anybody used the Harmonizer? It's an electronic device made by a member of another bike forum. He's been selling hundreds and hundreds of them. They're in the price range of a Carbtune (maybe a little more depending on where you buy the Carbtune) but are supposed to offer super accuracy and ease of use. It's a two-port synchronizer that also has a gauge and tach. Here's the link to where the guys sells them:

As soon as he has some more available, I'm going to order one. I'll post back to let everyone know how it works.

Unless something changed recently he hasn't been making any for almost a year now. I like the idea, and think it works fine, but the fewer batteries I have to buy the better.

He's making them again k-moe. I placed my order the other day. He sells out as quick as he has stock back in.

I got my Harmonizer yesterday and used it tonight to do a carb sync. It worked great and helped make the engine sound much smoother. The Harmonizer has a balancer to do the sync with and shows you a graphical scale left to right between the two carbs with the middle being exactly balanced. It also has a gauge function where you can hook up one carb at a time and get a vacuum reading. It is backlit with a sensor that turns off the backlight when not needed to save the battery. It has an auto-off function in case you forget to turn it off. It also has an LED that can be used in case you need a light. This display also shows the rpms which is really helpful. I'm impressed with it and think it's a great little tool.
