Does anyone know if a company makes a white letter tire for our bikes? Its an 82 550 seca, 110/90 18 in the rear and 100/90 19 in the front. A search on bike bandit and DCC came up empty

Bridgestone Spitfire S11. I like those tires and they have white letter in your sizes. I put some on my Maxim rims earlier this year.

Dont' let the color of the lettering determine what tire you buy.

That is code for "not enough profit margin since you bought the tires from someone else you cheap bastard." :)

well the only real difference from seca and maxim is the cam and rear tire you get a few more miles per hour and a half second faster in the 1/4 mile
i get better gas mileage and cheaper tires well worth the trade off, o_O
and your disc brake is on the wrong side.
I have my eye on a seca running for 300 if i get it I will be able to better compare the ride.
but I may also pick up 2 xj 650 maxims for the same price. so hard to choose

i guess the disc and side it is on is just a point of view, or we both have the same sense of humor, wit and sarcasim.

left side Maxim vs right side Seca and dual disc for thr 550 in Europe only Yamaha knows for shure

I used a white oil based sharpie to do the front tire letters. Back tire is factory white letters.

Before painting the the letters I degreased the tire surface. After 3 months letters are still bright white.

Tires were new this spring. I painted them right after I got them. No problems with about 2k miles and 3-4 months of use.

Picture was taken after it had been about 2 months.
