    You want it louder.
    Do you have neighbors?
    Do you like them?
    Do they like you?

What do you think is "better" than stock?

My definition is " quieter is better". So no, pulling out a baffle or putting aftermarket cans, or straights, etc... Will not make it better.

You want it loud? Get a Harley, or done other large-bore V-Twin

Agreed. I like loud bikes but a smaller displacement 4 cylinder will never give you that sound I assume you are looking for.

Makes me think of a catchy little tune in Sesame street: Who are the people in your neighbourhood ?

Not to disagree with what other have said, but they sort of avoided your question... :p

Making a bike sound "better" is a relative term, what may sound better to you make sound like a donkee bray to others. There are definitely ways to make your bike louder, but like hogfiddles said, you won't get a deep throaty growl like a big v-twin. I made my own exhaust and increased the size (diameter) of the pipes. With no baffles it was loud! Even with 6" baffles it still can be heard from a couple miles away when I get on it (according to my wife). If you change the pipes you may have to rejet. I didn't, after 3 yrs,, no problems yet...
here's a video clip of the exhaust without baffles..
