Thanks. I just took the stock seat and cut the passanger section off. I got my local reappolster shop to recover the seat. I have gotten lots of compliments on the seat. You can't see it in the picture but where I cut the frame I inserted 12 gauge shotgun shells with a LED light in where the firing pin was for my rear signal lights. Had to fill the holes with something.

No. As I still use it for a daily driver. I just drag race it twice a year.

Seat idea is a good one. I still have mine and no one wanted it on eBay, so you have just provided me with a cunning plan! How did you secure it though?

I'll send you some pics when I get back home later today. Easier to show you than to explain.

Fantastic. I assumed that the latch was kept on, but I can't remember exactly where this was located (I just assumed that seat was a no go).

With the angle, do you find yourself slipping off the back? Am gonna attempt the mod myself, but wanted to know if I need to fashion a lip on the back.

The seat does have a small dish to it. It holds me on. When I first brought it to the drags I keep popping the seat off with the hard launches off the line. So I will show you how I fixed the problem with the pictures.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Here is the side view. Used original rubber anchor just secured under the little tray. Put a nut and bolt on backside of seat to anchor rubber latch. Put a piece of angle steel under seat so it rests on cross frame so seat doesn't slide back. Hope this helps.

Took the K&N pods off. Couldn't get it to run good. Cv carbs don't like pods.
