    I'll take both.

Three really. The car was built in the spring of '89.

Damm... I have been listening to metal since I bought my first Sabbath album in the mid seventies, and I *never* heard of this band, Savatage!

    Is that a Miata?

Yes it is a Miata. One from the first shipment to get to Houston. It's seen better days, but still runs like new (honest).

Have you heard of the Trans Siberian Orchestra? Same guys (mostly).

Last year (while I was busy watching RUSH in concert) they had a HUGE concert at Wacken. Two stages with the set broken onto three parts. Part I: Savatage, Part II: TSO, Part: III Every member to ever have performed in either group (with the exception of Chriss Oliva who was killed by a drunk driver in '93). Nobody does that!! Ticks me off that I missed it (not that I had the money to go).

I hope a BluRay of the concert is in the works. Fan vids are cool, but not quite the same.

Rush... that brings me back. I was lucky enough to see every tour they did from Fly by Night through Moving Pictures. I play drums so Neil Peart has always been a drum hero of mine. I think it is amazing that they are still together and playing, and still kicking ass!

That last bit is in doubt. Neil has described himself as a retired drummer, twice now.
    http://www.neilpeart.net/index.php?cID=286
Can't say that I blame him. I have some minor tendonitis that keeps me from doing things sometimes. He's been touring with tendonitis that's been progressively worsening.
I think RUSH is done, at least as a touring band.

There was a point when I was seriously considering riding from the KC show to Denver so I could catch both. I kind of regret not doing that.

    Zing!
    I meant the band.

    TSO, is awesome.

I'm a bassist so Rush is a big influence, I've seen them thrice, read Ghost Rider, Roadshow and Far and Away by Peart and am disheartened by their recent news, but sounds like studio work may still happen.

Far and Near is a good read too. There is a new book that might come out late this summer and should have this last tour in it.

I have never read any of his books, I have been meaning to. Rush had a pretty envious run as a band, they will undoubtedly go out on a high note, and not be doing shows in Vegas, or summer festivals.
Have you ever seen their DVD, Beyond the Lighted Stage?

this video is awesome... Bubbles cracks me up...

Thanks. I worked at a dealership when the first batch came in the the U.S., detailed and prepped the first one off the delivery truck, and fell immediately in love. Tight handling, very balanced and controllable, comfortable even for long distance driving (I took it to Ohio last summer). It's the one car that will never be sold, unless it's to buy a better example. The only thing I don't like about it is the crease from when the garage's retaining wall fell on it when we lived in Portland. I guess it's just more character for the old gal.

I love that documentary, watched at least 4 times and never get bored . . . a favorite quote is near the end when Alex says that they are 'in it for the chicks'! I stole that at one of our swing band (http://www.swingofpearls.com) gigs . . .

I know, and they are all so humble, despite the fact they are *Rush*... Neil Peart said that if he never made it as a drummer, he would probably have ended up working at his Dads tractor dealership.

K-Moe... BTW, nice car... dont ever sell it. About a month ago I sold my 1989 Supra because despite the fact it still looked and ran awesome, I felt it was on the verge of a couple of expensive repairs. Miss it like crazy, but saving up for a 4th gen Supra, although I might settle for a '91 Turbo (1st year with tri-oval badge) with a t-top :)

I won't. I learned that lesson when I sold my '75 Celica. Wouldn't you know that I was right about it appreciating in value. Seems like I told my wife that before she guilted me into trading it for a truck. Oh well...

I love the A70 Supras (the A60 is my second fav). It used to be one of my post-college purchase goals, but life happens.

I love those old Toyotas! I had 79 Celica and always wanted to have Supra turbo.

I had many Mustangs 5.0 in my life but I always liked the Fox convertibles... Couple years ago I got myself an '88 Mustang GT convertible from 2nd owner. He owned it for 23yrs. Looked like he was going to cry when I drove it out of his driveway.

The miata is a great car they dominate a lot of the autocross here in Canada they were rated one of the more fun sports cars . I have yet to own one but have owned an 87 rx7 and 04 rx8 GT prior to my cobalt SS and I can say that the Mazda's are a blast on the road course hell even the SS is a blast when you throw some sticky tires on it rx71.JPG IMG-20120701-00228.jpg

    A reminder note to y'all.
If you have not synchronized your carbs in a year, do so.
Idle went from "Chuck, chuck, chuck, chuck" to "Tik, Tik, TIk, Tik."
Accel went from "BrrrrRRrrRrR" to 'WrrrRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!".

20 minutes of warmup, and 5 minutes of adjustment makes all the difference in the world.
    Me so happy :)

It's such a gradual process for the carbs to get out of synch that I hadn't really noticed it happening. Mine weren't very far out, but just enough to matter.

Yep, it was a Habob. They aren't quite as common on the High Plains, but we do get them.

k-moe, we are expecting yesterday's rainstorm to turn into our April snowzilla here in CO any minute. I imagine you might be getting some of what already passed over us last night.

    http://www.weather.gov/media/bou/april2016snowstorm2.pdf

Luckily I have a bike that's unplugged, and parts currently in shipment right now!

On a lighter "note" I saw the Denver RUSH show last summer, R40 tour. It was incredible.

Oh we have gotten plenty. Over 5" of rain has fallen so far today, with expectations of another 2-5" over the next 24 hours. I was woken up by a flash-flood warning text at 3 AM. This was after having stayed up to follow the track of the tornado-spawning portion of the storm.
By the time this storm system rolls past, we'll have recieved almost 1/2 of our average annual rainfall.

I was at KC, and more than a few of the regulars said that it was the best show of the tour at that point. I'm sure Denver was at least as good.

I like those RX8. Never had one but I did have the 83 RX7. Fun little car but man, it was a pig on gas when you drove it hard.

@Kevin A Thank you. Streets have been cleaned so it's time to take it out of stable :)

I just got word from a friend. The only damage was downed limbs; nothing structural. That news is surprising given that one of the larger tornadoes tracked within a 1/2 mile of my home. I expected there to be at least some hail damage.
