    Hey guys,

So I just picked up a 1983 XJ750 Seca yesterday for $600. It came with the touring package (fairing, bags, trunk). It runs, but it's going to take a bit to get it nice and road worthy. This forum seems like it's going to be a lot of help! I'll get pics of the bike and the fixup along the way.

Anyway, first dumb question. On the right handlebar switch gauge, what is the small black switch left of the kill switch?

OMG you got a smokin'deal. The tour package alone is worth what you paid if it's in decent cosmetic condition.

Just like Toomanybikes said, that is the switch for the fog light (the one right below the headlight).

Ok great, thanks for the info on the switch.

I can't post a picture, or link. I'm assuming i need a certain number of posts first?

Did you also get the luggage mounting rack? Steering damper?

Yes on the luggage mounting rack, and no the steering damper.

Cool. You have all the difficult to find parts then.

Those rear turn signal arms are pretty cool. I assume they wrap around the luggage?

Sort of. They put the signals back far enough for the side cases to fit, and wide enough to be seen. I never did like how Yamaha chose to mount them to the license plate frame, but the whole tour package was developed well-after the motorcycle was already in production.
