Hitachi HSC 33 ?

    My manual is for a 85 maxim X, mine is not, it does have a HSC33 carb, is the float height the same (17.5mm).
    Also if u read my post under "What stupid thing..." ,u will get a laugh and maybe help me find good used ,cheap
    valve needles, All help welcome, and thanks !

    I read about your bent needles :rolleyes::oops: You might contact Chacal at xj4ever , I think Hogfiddles might have parts start an IM with them. Cruise ebay might luck out and find a used set . Oh just remember Jets R Us .com I think has them don't know price ? Just my thoughts .

    The maximX has mikuni not hitachi anyway----

    That is the prob, like i said , I have a manual for Maxim X 'Mine is not' Need to know the float setting so i can get close to my fuel level setting ?

    Initial setting is 17.5mm. Then, do your wet setting after that

    Thanks again Hogfiddles, got inpatient and got them set @16mm, My Maxim X manual did say 17.5mm, but i doubted that was right for the air-head has a hitachi and also the X specs for the fuel level in the bowl was 3mm, and i did find the specs on mine and it was only 1mm, so i was sure the float would be different. Either way 16mm gave me exactly the 1mm fuel level. Just to let u know this was my 1st total carb rebuild and i learned a ton of info, unfortunatley it was mostly after i already F=up !!! But i did learn real good that way, LOL
