I really like my Nolan N86. Good venting, integrated sun shield.

I wear glasses does the sun shield interfere with them, my gmax had the feature and would hit the frames as I lowered the internal visor.

    how is the noise level?

    I have this: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/hjc-is-17-helmet

    LOVE IT.

I wear glasses, though I prefer contact lenses when riding as I find contacts give me clearer vision, especially at night.

This helmet also has the internal visor and it does not hit my eyeglass frames when I lower it.

As for noise, I really can't say. It's my only full face helmet... So I can't make a comparison. I have not had a problem. The reviews at the link might be helpful...

The internal sun visor was a "had to have" feature for me. I ride with it down nearly all the time commuting, etc, but as the sun sets, it's nice to raise it and leave the clear shield closed...

Plus... I feel like Tom Cruise... Especially when in a four G inverted dive with a Mig.

I also wear glasses. There's a little bit of foam that gets removed on each side that allows me to put my glasses on once I put the helmet on. Sun shield doesn't hit them, but can't say it would miss everybody's. I can't really compare noise level. I find it to be fine, but this is my first motorcycle helmet.
When I searched, I knew I wanted to spend a bit more than $100. Just trying to put some value on my brain. Anyway, I did a search on top helmet brands and found a list of 7 that included Nolan. It was noted for often exceeding safety requirements.
    I have this one: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/63473/i/nolan-n86-helmet
It's at an even lower price than when I got mine. Probably coming out with the N87 soon. IMHO, good time to buy!
Though, I keep wishing I bought this one: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/63471/i/nolan-n86-rapid-helmet I like the look!

Sun visor? Put a 1 1/2" strip of vinyl window tint on the top of the faceshield.

I wear a qualifier dlx. Great helmet for me, bell helmets fit my head best so I've stuck with then for last three helmets. The qualifier is comfortable but a bit noisy on highway, enough I wear ear plugs. My previous bell was quieter but I'd have to run out to garage to see what model it is. The vents are easy to operate and stay put. The auto tinting visor is nice too. First helmet with that, didn't think much of it until I rode without that feature. Overall I'd say 8/10 and would buy again.

the auto tint visor is a 139$ option to the standard Qualifier but comes with the DLX as well as with other whistles and bells for comm systems an external pocket under the bell logo for blue tooth
and some nice graphics on the helmets

    Socorpion exo looking good too

as well as the Nolan with the inner visor

I'm supposed to have a chart showing what helmet models and makes would fit someone's head measurements (width and length). I'll try to find it tomorrow.

Edit: well , sorry, I found the chart but it only says what fits my head measurements so it will be ok if your head is similar to mine: width 6.5", length 7 .75", circumference 22.875"

This is what I bought last summer http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/45394/i/hjc-sy-max-iii-hi-viz-helmet
The internal visor was a must have for me, the modular system eliminates the dicking around for those of us that wears glasses. I don't find it to be a "quiet" helmet but of all the helmets I have owned none seemed "quiet" to be honest. Though with this one and previously owned modular helmets be aware that the unit will loosen up and occasional tightening will be required. A noticeable vibration will show up when riding at higher speeds as a reminder to snug up the screws if I do forget.
As far as noise levels, I never ride without ear plugs. I'm still aware of what is going on around me but cuts wind noise to a more than acceptable level and also helps to prevent accumulative hearing loss IMHO.
Get the best you can afford regarding fit and ratings and then get a couple of sets of disposable ear plugs for a couple of extra bucks, they're worth it.

I just picked up a Scorpion EXo-R2000 on sale from revzilla. Helmet has lots of vents which is essentially in NC, but they are also operable so i can shut them up on cooler nights. No sun shade but comes with both a smoke and clear shield. Biggest reason i went with a scorpion helmet is they have a cutaway for eyeglasses. bunch of other features, but for me it was great because of A. Eyeglasses, B. I don't mind switching lenses, C. I wear earplugs always so the more venting the better

Bell Vortex is my other helmet. I liked that one too but my only complaint is the rear vent covers/ducts are separate prices and are flimsy. Both of mine were superglued/taped back on and cracked after only a year. I take really good care of my helmets, always bagged and hung after use. The damage happened after just one accidental drop and snagging a vent on the bag. Vortex is Snell and DOT whereas the Qualifier is just DOT.

It's been mentioned before but worth repeating, buy the helmet that fit you best. I go to the Progressive motorcycle show every year to look at bikes I can't afford and drink overpriced beers but I do go try on all the helmets I can since all the major manufacturers are there with reps that are knowledgeable. I tried some one that my chin cold touch the front of the helmet if I rocked it back, one crash landing on the front and my jaw would be annihilated. In my experience, there is a big difference in the Qualifier vs. the DLX in the fit and comfort. If you have a store nearby go try some on. You can always find the model you like and buy online.
