That sure is a nice looking bike for being a 82, must of been garaged its entire life. Poor shame though it only has 12,ooo miles.
Seems like there are a lot of people who buy bikes then lose interest.

 

And the one I'm outfitting like that only has 5.4k on it

 

I'll buy it if someone wants to buy the fairing/ luggage for 1250!

 

It sure is purty. I love the bags and tour pack. No way I would pay $1,250 for them!

 

Yet if someone did buy that touring package for 1250 the individual who gets the bike for 500.00 gets one heck of a deal LOL

what could have happened to that? the tank is flaking off paint but the seat isn't really that bad. the chrome doesn't look like it goes with the aluminum.

Wow, I never knew the parts for the 650 Maxim were so 'rare'!! Lol. Maybe that's why the grab bar isn't included. No, I'm not hoarding them all----I only have 5 or 6 extras around.

The starter clutch has been having trouble catching. From what I have read, it seems it is likely an issue with the battery

however I haven't been able to get my hands on a hydrometer small enough for a bike battery.

does not know where walmart is located they sell them small hydrometers

The previous owner ........replacing the whole starter system top to bottom,

except the starter clutch,


I like white walls but they look shi%%y with the paint scheme on this rare find

 

.... funny it says it needs a starter clutch repair (really? $20?!?!) but the later days the PO. Had the whole starter system done from top to bottom......

For this price he should at least include the ultra-rare handlebar center cover...I'm not hoarding those either--- I only have 5.....

 

Was my very first thought, that price and not even a handlebar cover.....have to give credit at the very least for being straight forward enough with the photos to show it.

Of course, though, if the price were right--since it's complete, ivtend to grab a bike like that and squirrel it away til a good frame shows up and then build it again
