I bought my first bike 1986 xj700 maxim x and was just surfing the web when I came across this site and joined three years ago. With that I never had any troubles with my bike so I kinda forgot about this site. Then last month my bike had a mechanical failure-ie three bent valves and broken valve guides. Thus I have been extremely happy with the information and guidance for proper repairs to my bike. Currently just waiting for parts 2 more weeks and I should have everything I need.

I Googled "Yamaha Maxim" and you were one of the first posts. Y'all should fix that if you want to keep the place respectable and keep rif-raf like me out.

I was using the Bing search engine to look for "xj650rj." The site came up on the first page, about 5 sites down the list.

    Google.
I don't think it's possible to be a computer and XJ bike owner and not end up here.

    I've honestly no idea, lol!
I'm a former bike courier...UK, almost exclusively used XJ's....650, 750, and an American imported Maxim 750, throughout the 80's, 90's.....

I was thinking of buying an XJ, here in the US...and searching, just happened upon this fantastic site, and saw all these amazing XJ's!!

Just a Yahoo! search for "Yamaha XJ" and was very pleasantly surprised to find exactly what I was looking for, a very knowledgeable forum. I had no idea what I had just bought other than it was an XJ but I found out very quickly.
