I'm partaking of one of my home-brews as I type.
It's not one of my better efforts, but the 9% ABV makes up for the flaws.

Had a sour ale with my burger at my local joint. Burger was as good as ever. The ale was okay, but I should have stayed with my usual, a maple syrup brown ale.

IMG_1318.JPG Matti I like your taste in whiskey .
And goes well with a Cohiba cigar.
Love my whiskey rocks, no ice to water it down.

Cuban, 63% humidity, whiskey, slight lower than hand temp. Toasting the memory of my father in law. No riding for a while, gents.

With that literature Matti a rye whiskey would have been apropos.

I had a Benadryl last night, cutting hay (and patches of wild parsnip ) . . . it makes me like Aqualung. Snot running down my nose . . . flowin stream of liquid boogers, eyes watering, buckling over sneezes. Nothing pretty about it.

Happy Father's Day to all of you Dad types. Talk to your Dad if you can, tell him you love him!

Yeah, I've got a couple of bottles of rye, but Papa D liked his Irish whiskey. The book was a prop... Wife is reading it. I'm actually in the middle of an Orwell, or when in a brainier mood, Aristotle. He doesn't go well with liquor. But all of this literary stuff is ruining my reputation!

Orwell! Admittedly I did not read 1984 until about 6 years ago - blew my mind! It's like he had a crystal ball.

Currently paging through Neil deGrasse Tyson's latest.

Not sure what you mean... when I search ISOM I got International School of Ministry. I would probably burst into flames if I passed through their doors. The Monte was from Cuba. We can still visit and/or import .

Orwell should be required reading for everyone who lives in a modern society. My son is 6 and I'm trying to figure out when he'll be ready for Animal Farm.

If you enjoyed 1984, I would suggest looking into "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. Huxley was actually one of Orwell's teachers.

Oooooh Breckenridge! Never would have believed that a decent Bourbon would come out of Colorado - they got that one dialed in! First time I had it was when I was stuck in the Denver airport (flight delayed, go figure). Asked for a double of a good Bourbon and the waiter brought me that.:D

I've read it a couple of times. And a couple of his other books as well, including Doors of Perception, after which the Doors were named!

Cigars, whiskey and literature. Best motorcycle forum ever!

Everything I need for a quiet night in the garage. Very special occasion bottle, will last me a few years but if any of you fine gentlemen were here I would offer a pour or two no problem.

    What about me?

Also, @k-moe , did you choose that bacon bourbon specifically for this thread? Old Major is the first major character in Orwell's Animal Farm. How apropos!

From what is visible that truly is one top notch man cave.
That single malt scotch looks damn fine also.
